I received a message from a guy on thesamba.com about a VW salvage yard that was listed on Craigslist. Here is his message to me, and the link to the Craigslist ad follows the message. I do not have any other information other than what is contained in this email message.

"Spread the word around, this guy has 10 acres of old vw's up in the woods. I just bought a steering column with complete wiring harness and gauges and a pair of popout windows from him. He used to run a vw engine repair shop in Virginia in the early 80's and brought these down then, so the bodies are very rusty. Lots of transmissions and front ends, glass, gauges, taillights, more popout windows, etc... I saw at least 2 IRS bus transmissions still sitting in the buses (those buses weren't sunk down into the pine needles either). I didn't see the whole place, so not sure what all he had...The ad was posted by a friend of his, and the sentence about "must remove the whole car.." is a misprint..."
